Day 4

These nests are under the Hall of Fame.
BBQ at the Happy Hour Shack at the Ilfracombe Caravan Park.

Section of a fence at the Ilfracombe Caravan Park.

Another section of the fence. Interesting use of an old piece of porcelain.
Well we have made it to Winton tonight. Only a short day today as we spent the morning at the Stockmans Hall of Fame. Fascinating place, there was even a reference to Polocrosse, and a photo of the Championship team for 1963 with a couple of names that were familiar, Guest and Melbourne.
Also checked out the main street, it was good to see individual shops and not a mall in sight.
The Matilda Bakery make really good pies.
The camel races are on in Winton this weekend and we are debating whether to stay or travel on.
Winton just materializes out of the flat plains. There are some jumpups where the dinosaur trail is, but basically flat grazing land.
The fruit and veg market is a cold room with the freshest produce we have encountered.
The Isa Rodeo is on the 5th to the 9th August. Our timing is working well.
Safe travelling
