The mountain range outside of Springsure.
Took this pic this morning as we left Springsure. It is called Virgin Rock.
Well we have made it to Ilfracombe tonight. We decided to stay just outside of Longreach.
Another good day of travel. Terrain changed from mountain range to flat plains.
Travelling along there was a dead carcass of a roo in the middle of the road that was being a main course for 2 crows. As we passed we expected the crows to fly off , but no they just continued their meal.
Have been amazed at the amount of dead animals on the road, mainly roos but also an emu and a porcupine today. I am very pleased that we are not doing any night travel.
Tomorrow we check out Longreach and the Stockmans Hall of Fame.
